EL PROCESO CREATIVO / THE CREATIVE PROCESS

En el marco del III Festival Cáceres DeFoto, se proyectarán algunas imágenes de las sucesivas series en las que he trabajado, desde mediados de los años setenta hasta la actualidad. Durante la proyección hablaré de mi manera de entender el proceso creativo, de las influencias recibidas y del modo cíclico en que esas influencias, entre la fidelidad a unas constantes y el deseo de evolución y renovación, determinan el trabajo a lo largo de los años.

Cada una de estas intervenciones representa para mi una oportunidad de someter a revisión muchos aspectos de mi trabajo y del modo en que entiendo la fotografía como una prolongación de mi forma de estar en el mundo y de sentir. Evidentemente, una vez más, es una oportunidad de carácter crítico, no tanto una afirmación como una interrogación.

As part of the III Cáceres DeFoto Festival, some images of the successive series in which I have worked will be projected, from the mid-1970s to the present day. During the screening, I will talk about my way of understanding the creative process, the influences received and the cyclical way in which these influences, between fidelity to constants and the desire for evolution and renewal, determine the work throughout the years.

Each of these interventions represents for me an opportunity to review many aspects of my work and the way I understand photography as an extension of my way of being in the world and of feeling. Obviously, once again, it is a critical opportunity, not so much an affirmation as an interrogation.
