SÉPTIMO CIELO / SEVENTH HEAVEN

En la serie «Séptimo cielo» el uso del color introduce un cambio de registro. El paisaje se hace más esquivo y la duración parece acortarse. La serie representa «un intento de escrutar la propia mirada sobre el paisaje semi-urbano que rodea nuestras ciudades, y hacerlo del único modo que parece posible: transitando el recorrido entre lo objetivo y lo subjetivo, entre la pura topografía y la identificación de sensaciones interiores» (Santiago Olmo, del catálogo de la exposición).

In the series «Seventh Heaven» the use of color brings about a remarkable change of attitude. To a certain extent, the scenery becomes more elusive and the duration seems to be shorter. The series represents «an attempt to scrutinize one’s view of the semi-urban landscape that surrounds our cities and do it in the only way which seems to be possible: traveling between the objective and the subjective, between pure topography and the identification of internal sensations.
