MELODÍA & PASIÓN MEDITERRÁNEAS / MELODY & PASSION OF MEDITERRANEAN

Por primera vez en Rusia, en San Petersburgo, Italia y España presentarán a algunos de los más importantes artistas de la fotografía contemporánea, más de ochenta autores expondrán un total de más de mil imágenes. El evento ha contado con el apoyo del Comité de Cultura de San Petersburgo, el Consulado General de la República Italiana, el Consulado General de España y la Unión Rusa de Fotógrafos de Arte, y tendrá lugar en el el majestuoso escenario neoclásico de Manage, el principal centro de exposición de la ciudad.

Diversas exposiciones mostrarán el modo en que los temas fotográficos se abordan en Italia y en España, a partir de un interés por aspectos históricos de la imagen fotográfica y estableciendo algunas distinciones entre una fotografía clásica y otra que presenta un perfil más joven.

For the first time in Russia, in Saint Petersburg, Italy and Spain will present some of their most important artists of contemporary photography, mpre than 80 authors will bring a total over 1.000 works. The event will be supported by the Culture Committee of Saint Petersburg, the Consulate General of Italian Republic, the Italian Cultural Institute of Saint Petersburg, the Honorary Consulate of Spain, as well as the Union of Artists Photos of Russia, and took place in the stately neoclassic scenery of the Manage, the city’s main exhibition center.

Various exhibitions will show the way in which photographic subjects are approached in Italy and Spain, based on an interest in historical aspects of the photographic image and establishing some distinctions between a more classic photograph and one that presents a younger profile.

The following Spanish photographers participate in this fourth edition of the Saint Petersburg Photo Vernissage (2011, Melody & Passion of Mediterranean): Israel Ariño, Manel Armengol, Jordi Bernado, Carlos Cánovas, Jordi Cohen, Pep Escoda, Llucia Fausti, Gato/Roberto Garsia, Nuria Gras,Hassel and Gretel, Lucía Herrero, Igor Makov, César Ordóñez and Raimon Sola.
